HELP SAVE SABU!!!

Our beloved bass player Sabu has been forced to return to Japan to deal with issues regarding his Visa. At this point his ability to return to the country is unknown and we are reaching out to you, our family and friends, to help out in any way you possibly can.

We've set up a "Save Sabu Legal Defense Fund" and are asking for any donations you can offer to help Sabu secure a really great entertainment immigration lawyer. Anything you all are able to offer is absolutely invaluable. Also - if any of you out there know anyone in the immigration department or any other department or have any ideas of how we can bring him back quickly please, please let us know.

Also, a huge, huge thank you goes out to the Muleskinner for stepping in!

September News Update from Sabu and Bob

Greetings friends, family, and fans, this is Sabu. What a successfully Meltdown we had this year!! I want to thank all of the people who participated in many different ways (volunteers, musicians, sound/stage crews, vendors, sponsors, audience etc, etc) We could not make this festival happen without any of the people. So, thank you again for your hard work with a lot of sweat and dust!! Also, let us not forget to thank the Darrington Bluegrass Association who trusts us to use their property. We are very fortunate to be able to host Meltdown at this beautiful site. 'There’s a mystery about this place'!

It was very noticeable that pretty much everything went smooth all around. I was very glad that we were more organized and as always had great volunteers to help us this year. When I saw a huge line of cars on the Thursday before opening the gate, it was so exciting!! I remember after working all day and coming back to my tent to change my clothes for the show, I could not find my tent for a long time. I was like “Where is my tent?” Because when I left my tent in the morning, there were only several tents in my section. But when I came back, there must have been hundreds of more tents!! I said, 'Holly shit, what the hell happened here?” But this was a happy complaint!

The next day, more people and bands showed up. I walked around that day, it was so nice to see smiles on people's faces while they were doing yoga in the morning, just hanging around their tents with friends, dancing with music and setting and swimming in the beautiful river (I swam there so many times, so refreshing and it's blessing that we have the river). Just seeing people smiling made me so happy and realized why we work very hard every year for this festival. It's very rewarding!

We did it again and we'll do it again the next year! Next year’s tentative dates are August 7th-10th, 2008. I hope we can make it bigger and better. Thanks Flowmotion fans who stayed out in the rain during our set on the Saturday! You guys rock!
Thanks again and bless your hearts and beautiful spirits,
Sabu

New Years Announced:
Also, Flowmotion is pleased to announce New Year’s Eve’s show will be at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard, Seattle. We can’t think of a better place to bring in the new year with friends and family at our favorite local venue. This show sold out last year and almost entirely through pre-sold tickets. So, get your ticket early.

I-Tunes -Digital Downloads:
Flowmotion’s re-released “Is That Right” is now digitally available on Itunes, Rhapsody, emusic, and Napster. You can also download tracks from Is That Right and some of last year’s Meltdown through Snocap on www.myspace.com/flowmotionmusic and www.flowmotion.net/audio.html $.99 a pop. Pretty good deal for the live version of Mountain Grove with Vince Herman sitting in or the 15 minute Got’s Mine/I Believe in Love with Blake Lewis.

And lastly, we’re very excited to welcome some members to the Flowmotion team to help us conquer the world! Flowmotion is now being booked through Phil Simon at Simon Says Booking out of Orange, MA. Other artists on Phil Simon’s roster include Fareed Haque of Garaj Majal, Will Bernard, and Albino. We’re also very pleased to be working with a new manager Erin Bruce of StokedSiren Management. Erin was part of Gov’t Mule & Warren Hayne’s management team. She was also part of Annie Ohayon Media in New York that did PR for artists including Phish, Moe., Billy Corgan, Lou Reed and more.

That’s it for now. Thanks fans for all the support!
Bob

Blake Lewis Appearance with Flowmotion
Midway through Flowmotion’s 3-hour set, the street-beatboxer-turned-superstar and longtime friend of Flowmotion, B-Shorty joined the stage for a boxified version of “Better Luck Next Time”, raising the crowd into a frenzy. It was old friends making music together, and a triumphant return for a hometown boy.
